I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
