EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders including the French president accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans were placed on individuals that were central to efforts to enact laws regulating US-based technology firms.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have led coordinated campaigns to coerce American platforms to punish US perspectives they disagree with,” stated the US secretary of state in a social media post. “The current administration will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
